Word Bloom — Privacy Policy
Word Bloom (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is a word puzzle game published by Snail Pixel. This policy explains what data the app collects, why, and your choices. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the game and its optional features.
1. Information we collect
- Account information (optional): if you sign in with Google or email, our authentication provider (Google Firebase) processes your email address, display name, profile photo, and a unique user ID. Signing in is optional — the game is fully playable as a guest.
- Gameplay data: your puzzle progress, levels, streaks, statistics, achievements, and a chosen display name. This is stored on your device and, if you enable cloud save or sign in, on our servers so it can sync across devices.
- Leaderboard data: if you post a score, we store the score, the chosen display name, and an anonymous identifier so rankings work.
- Device & advertising identifiers: for ads and anonymous cloud save, an app-generated identifier and (for ads) your device’s advertising ID may be processed.
2. Advertising
The app shows ads through Google AdMob. AdMob and its partners may use device and advertising identifiers to serve and measure ads. In regions that require it (e.g. the EEA/UK), we show a consent prompt before serving personalized ads, and you may choose non-personalized ads. See Google’s advertising policies.
3. How we use information
- To run the game, save your progress, and sync it across your devices.
- To power leaderboards and achievements.
- To display ads that keep the game free.
- To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Sharing
We share data only with service providers that make the app work: Google Firebase (authentication, hosting), Google AdMob (ads), and our own game backend. Each processes data only to provide their service.
5. Data retention & deletion
You can delete your account and all associated cloud data at any time from Settings → Account → Delete account in the app. You can also request deletion via our account deletion page or by emailing [email protected]. Guest data lives only on your device and is removed when you clear progress or uninstall the app.
6. Children
Word Bloom is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live (e.g. under GDPR or CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected].
